ADS Team Bios

Christopher Sterle is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Owner of Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), a local leader in residential and commercial home automation and security solutions. In his role at ADS, Sterle oversees all aspects of the business, assists in developing business strategies, actively works with each team member to maintain a strong company culture, and researches new products and industry opportunities.

Sterle was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio, and attended Lakeland Community College. He began his audio visual (AV) career in 1995 when he began selling and installing home electronics for a “big box” retail store. While there, he attended training classes for various AV manufacturers, learning all aspects of their products and capabilities. 

After realizing his passion for the industry, Sterle decided to pursue home electronic installations full-time and joined a local company that specialized in home AV and custom installs. He relocated to Las Vegas in 1998, becoming a field manager for a local home AV company. For two years, Sterle worked closely with customers and delved deeper into the custom AV field.

In 2000, Sterle joined the Las Vegas show “EFX” at MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, learning more about professional AV gear and installations within commercial environments. Sterle left the show a year later and began planning and building the foundation to start his own company, and in 2003 launched ADS. 

Licensed, insured, and bonded through Nevada Contractor’s C-2, C-41, and C-4G licenses, ADS specializes in providing customers with revolutionary, custom-designed solutions to fit every lifestyle, including integrated room controls, audio and visual entertainment systems, security and monitoring systems, fire systems, controlled access, acoustic panels, thermostat control, lighting and shade control and much more.

Sterle is an active member of CEDIA, CEA, Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, NAIOP of Southern Nevada, Henderson Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau and is THX Installer Certified. Sterle has been living in the valley for over 20 years and is an active member of the local community.

Amanda Crigar is Vice President of Acoustic Design Systems (ADS). In her role, she spearheads the development of new efficiencies, procedures, and training programs while overseeing day-to-day operations by leading the company’s sales, marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, and administrative departments.

Crigar was born and raised in Las Vegas and attended the College of Southern Nevada. She began her career in 2003 at Virgen Advertising, followed by roles as the director of marketing and advertising at Professional Roofing Services and business development manager for Securitas Security Services, where she developed cutting-edge advertising campaigns, promotional collateral, direct mail and email marketing, managed SEO programs, social media, and brought in millions of dollars in top line sales, with impressive year over year growth. She achieved a coveted Rookie of the Year designation and qualified for the company’s President’s Club every year during her tenure at Securitas.

Crigar joined Acoustic Design Systems in 2019 as the Director of Marketing and Business Development after 10 years of consulting with the company on business development, strategic planning and marketing initiatives. She was elevated to Vice President of Sales & Marketing in 2021 and then promoted to Vice President in March 2024.

Certified in Salesforce, Security Values and Ethics: Civil Treatment for Managers, Crigar is a Community Association Institute (CAI) Nevada Educated Business Partner, a certified continuing education instructor with the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC). Recognized as one of Commercial Integrator’s “Top 40 Professionals Under 40” in 2021, Crigar is active with local industry organizations including the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, Professional Women in Building Council, NAIOP of Southern Nevada and the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.

Eric Barbine is the COO of Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), where he oversees all departments from Production, Audio Video Install, Custom and Alarm. Since joining ADS in March 2016, Eric has worked his way through several departments and management roles where he has learned how best to support our growing team. He has also been instrumental in customizing and implementing new CRM/project management software programs to streamline the company’s projects. Eric previously worked for other integrator companies in Pennsylvania and Las Vegas, but has found a long-term home here at ADS. When not in his broom closet at the office, you will find Eric at home with his wife or at a gymnastics meet with his daughter. He is also the proud doggy dad of one of our shop dogs, Bella.

Darren Filardo is a Systems Designer at Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), where he handles project management, customer service and sales of audio video, security, home automation and network systems for both custom residential and production homes. Before joining the ADS team in 2013, Darren previously owned and managed a retail store that installed car and home audio systems, where he was considered a pioneer as one of the first companies in Las Vegas to offer home surround sound systems and custom audio video installations. After more than 33 years in the industry, Darren still enjoys helping people create the “home of their dreams” by designing custom integrated systems.

Buddy Kliger is a Systems Designer at Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), where he is responsible for project management, customer service and sales of audio video, security, home automation and network systems for both custom residential and production homes. Buddy started his career more than 30 years ago in audio video retail sales, which then led to positions in the design and sale of customized automation systems and working with premier builders in Las Vegas. Since joining ADS in 2013, Buddy has been committed to providing clients with honest advice and sound solutions that result in customer satisfaction.

Ryan Wellman is a Systems Designer at Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), where he is responsible for meeting with prospective and existing clients to design custom systems and ensure client satisfaction throughout projects from start to finish. Before joining the ADS team in 2021, Ryan was the Lead Audio Tech at a major Las Vegas resort & casino, where he later transitioned to the role of In-House Music Director. Throughout his career, Ryan has simultaneously worked as a touring and resident DJ performing at high-profile venues all over the world. In his current role, he loves meeting new people daily and developing relationships with clientele.

Chris Leyh is the Field Operations Manager for Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), where he oversees all special projects in the field and serves as the cross-departmental, go-to manager for problem solving, managing consistency and maintaining optimal productivity. Chris has an extensive tenure with ADS, joining as one of the company’s original employees in 2006. With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, Chris previously worked for another integrator in addition to other notable technology and electronic companies.

Donavan Burke is not only the most full of life and fun person that you could know, he is also the Assistant Production Department Manager at Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), where he is in charge of scheduling technicians on production homes to keep up with the demanding schedule of home builders. His days consist of leading his team and quality control of our low voltage wiring during the construction process. Donnie also provides training for technicians and holds safety meetings. Before joining the ADS team in June 2016, Donnie held industry positions at COX communications and at a theater tech company. When not in the office or walking a job site, you will find him walking in the park chasing after Pokemon GO characters or at home building Legos.

Austin Fitzgerald is the Quality Control Manager at Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), ensuring company standards and industry best practices are being implemented for every job. Austin also provides remote and on-site support for our technicians and customers. Austin conducts individual, as well as group training sessions for our AV technicians to keep everyone up to date on current standards in our ever-expanding industry. Austin joined the ADS family in 2014 after 4 years of home theater sales at Best Buy. Austin quickly impressed all of us with his amazing work ethic and attention to detail. He is extremely skilled as a technician, a programmer, and a leader. When not quality-controlling our amazing AV installs, you will find Austin at home with his wife and girls. He enjoys racing stock cars on his simulator, playing guitar, and camping with his family.

Mathew Dalangauskas is the Custom Home Department Manager at Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), handling project management, customer service, scheduling and installation of audio video, security, home automation, and network systems for all custom residential homes. Matt joined the ADS family in the middle of 2014 as a part of the production department, where he wired homes and honed his skills as a technician. He then worked his way through the AV Install department, where he continued to impress his managers with his hunger for knowledge, amazing work ethic, and attention to detail. He is extremely skilled as a technician, programmer, and leader. When not managing some amazing AV installs, you will find Matt at home with his wife and girls. He enjoys racing cars on his simulator, bowling, and he is a great billiard player.

Derek Manalo is the Service Department Manager at Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), where he is in charge of scheduling service appointments, troubleshooting, and repairs, working on audio video and network system components in the field, providing training for technicians and remote technical support for clients. Before joining the ADS team in February 2022, Derek held industry positions for the past 15 years, 10 years of which were in Las Vegas. He is a Control4 certified programmer and a jack of all trades with most AV products. When not in the office, Derek loves to play music and paint Bob Ross style landscapes. He is a husband and a father of 2 children, 2 dogs and a turtle.

Conrad Garcia is the Alarm Department Manager at Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), where he is in charge of scheduling alarm install appointments, managing the Alarm Install technicians, helping with tech support for the alarm team, and providing training for technicians and remote technical support for clients. Conrad has worked in several departments at ADS and is talented in several areas of our industry. Before joining the ADS team in January 2018, Conrad held industry positions at other Alarm providers in Las Vegas and California during his 25 years in the industry. When not in the office or taking care of a customer’s home, you will find Conrad supporting his Raiders, Dodgers, Lakers, and Golden Knights with his 6 children.

Jodi Krikke is a Human Resources Specialist at Acoustic Design Systems (ADS), where she handles employee relations, payroll, benefits, and accounts receivables. Before joining the ADS team in February 2018, Jodi worked in photo and digital technology. An expert in interpersonal communications, Jodi enjoys problem-solving and finding the best solutions to please all parties.

Luna, also known as Luna Girl or Lunatic, is a Frenchton who loves belly rubs and being at home in her safe comfort zone. Luna’s birthday is celebrated every September, and she is very smart, fast, and a little high-strung. She’s sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements as she sometimes experiences anxiety, but it’s nothing a little special attention and love can’t fix. Luna loves a variety of treats and has a real appreciation for food of all kinds. At home, she loves hanging out in mom and dad’s bed and her favorite spot for vacation is Dog Beach in Huntington Beach, CA. At the ADS office, you will find Luna interrupting staff meetings and playing with her friend Bella. 

LeRoy, also known as LeRoy Brown, is a Frenchton-Boston Terrier/French Bulldog mix. He loves to play frisbee and chase any ball he can get his mouth on. LeRoy is usually sporting his favorite gold chain and thinks he’s the biggest dog in the park. He is a huge fan of ice cream, loves getting in the pool and being at Dog Beach in Huntington Beach, CA. LeRoy strays away from long-haired hippie dogs, German Shepherds, and Huskies. Don’t even think about turning him over on his back because he is the opposite of flexible. LeRoy celebrates his birthday every May, making Cinco de Mayo his favorite holiday. At the ADS office, you will find LeRoy hanging out with his friend Bella and interrupting staff meetings.

Bella, also known as Boomers or Bella Boom, is a Frenchton who loves snuggling, car rides, and playtime with humans – especially kids. She loves and treasures all treats, but her favorite foods include French fries, pizza crust, and bacon. Born in March, Bella is fun, loving, sweet and playful. Her favorite hangout spots include her backyard and the ADS office so she can play with her friends Luna and LeRoy. At the office, you will find Bella serving as the greeter at company meetings or keeping warm and cozy in front of the desk heaters.
