Have questions you need answered about our alarm systems or access control security services? Conrad Garcia, our Alarm Department Manager, is your go-to guy! With over 25 years of industry experience, Conrad is responsible for scheduling alarm installation appointments, managing and training alarm installation technicians, assisting the alarm team with tech support, and providing remote technical support to clients.

Q: What made you interested in the smart home tech industry?

My background has always been in audio video, starting with Cable TV, Direct TV and Alarm Systems. My first job was at a cable TV company handling disconnections and installations. After spending 20 years there, I left the company and joined Direct TV for several years. When I left, I took a break from the industry until 2020 and realized my true passion was in smart home technology handling audio video and cable networking.

Q: What do you love most about your job at ADS?

I love the amount of trust and confidence my bosses have in me. They gave me the opportunity to advance within the company in such a short period of time. When I first started at ADS, I was in the production department trimming houses during construction. Eventually I was trained as an alarm installer and moved up to my current position as Alarm Department Manager with a team of three amazing guys. Until I decide to retire, ADS is truly my forever home. That’s my goal, I love my job and where I work and I want to be here for the remainder of my career!

Q: What smart home tech device can you not live without and why?

Hands down, my security system. It gives me peace of mind when I’m away from home and going to sleep at night. Not only that, but integrating my door locks, garage door, thermostats, and camera system into one app makes it easy for me to see what’s happening and control everything remotely.

Q: What are you currently reading or watching?

I’m not really into watching television; I’m more of a live entertainment kind of guy. I enjoy concerts and sports like baseball, football, basketball, and hockey. Plus, getting to watch or attend the Raiders, Dodgers, Lakers and Golden Knights’ games with my children is always the best.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

When I’m not working, I’m either spending quality time with my family, cooking or golfing.

Q: How do you decompress after a hard week?

Nothing makes me feel more relaxed than taking long walks with my dog and talking to my father.
